We hope your Summer has been filled with lots of fun and memories! For those of you who visited the farm to pick Strawberries and Blackberries with your family – we know you made some yummy memories while here picking berries!
Now parents, kids and teachers all over Georgia are getting ready for Back to School time! Parents are eagerly searching for all those school supplies to satisfy the lists, kids are filling in their last Summer days with fun times with friends (don’t forget those Summer reading assignments!!), and teachers….whew…boy are they busy! Teachers have a list a mile long in order to be ready for the first day of school….organize classroom, make lesson plans, decorate bulletin boards, teacher meetings, choose a field trip destination…and the list goes on!
Back to School here at Southern Belle Farm is a busy time for us too! We are making preparation here on the farm getting our barnyard animals on their best behavior to host school groups by getting out our latest farm fun activities and games, growing our crops and getting ready for educate many kids about agriculture and farming! Our Fall Field Trips will begin September 21st and will continue thru early November. We just love this time we get to share and have fun with school kids on the farm!
If your class has not yet planned their field trip for the 2010-11 school year, suggest Southern Belle Farm as a Spring or Fall destination! We’re conveniently located in McDonough, Ga – Henry County and offer two field trips per year. For more information, visit our new website and learn about our School Field Trips.
We also host Spring Field Trips, and those trips include picking fresh Strawberries from the patch. If you are interested in a Spring Field Trip – those are held mid-April thru May. We will accept Spring 2011 Field Trip Reservations now as well!
